The on-line application period will open May 15th, 2010.  The application deadline is September 15th, 2010.  Mobility must start at the latest by December 31, 2011 for all applicants except for univeristy staff who can start their mobility anytime during the project duration.

Information about the selection 2009/10
We would like to thank all of you who applied for a scholarship through our programme. We received lots of very good applications. Some of you were lucky to get a scholarship and we would like to congratulate you. Those of you who weren’t that lucky are welcome to apply again in fall 2010 if the European Commission decides to extend the programme. We will inform you about their decision in June 2010.
Selection
The final selection is being done by a Steering Committee by recommendations from the partner universities. The universities rank all the students who could be considered as candidates at the university. Beside the academic record, the Steering Committee also has to consider a lot of other criteria before the final selection. The Steering Committee has to look at the gender balance, balance between the home universities (not all scholars should come from the same university), balance between the host universities (we don’t want all scholars to end up in the same European university) and finally - different fields of study. On top of that, different target groups has to considered. If you think you should have been admitted, sometimes it is not because your academics were weak but because some of the other criteria didn’t match.
We will keep all of you as reserves which mean that you could still get a nomination letter from us with a proposal to get scholarship until 1 September 2010.

The selection is now made, and nominated candidates will be notified within this week. Candidates who have not been nominated will be informed next week.

Unfortunately there has been some delays in the admission process. We will inform the nominated candidates Friday 14 November at the latest of the selection result for spring 2009.

The on-line application is closed. The nominated candidates will be informed 11 November of the result of the selection for spring 2009.

All nominated candidates from Jordan, Lebanon and Syria have been informed of their nomination. Candidates from EU to Lot 3 countries will unfortunately have to wait a few more days and will be informed within a week.

The European Commission has granted a contiunation of the programme! The selection of candidates for the EMECW3 scholarship will be done in the end of June and nominated candidates will be informed on 16 July.

2008-06-03
On the condition that the programme is granted a continuation, the selection will be finished by the end of June. All applicants will then be informed by e-mail if they have been selected to receive a scholarship or not.
